Chose this fan for the smart functionality feature / and because it’s hunter.
Smart fans work great, if you’ve only got 1. If you’ve got multiple fans, and multiple fans on the same switch or breaker - which is fairly normal I would think - it’s impossible to pair them independently because they all have the same name / it gets confused.
Purchased 3 for my back patio. 1 is on one breaker and the other 2 are on a separate breaker. And it’s taken hours and calls with Hunter customer support who were totally useless. And still no success.
Ring is perfect for example. Each device has its own name and identification… why Hunter couldn’t apply the same very standard tech is beyond me. Very disappointed as I paid up for these.
UPDATE
After hours of troubleshooting my husband and I finally cracked getting these fans set up fully - no thanks to the useless instruction manual from Hunter and Hunter support.
Each fan has its own WiFi - no mention of this in the manual or by customer support.
We switched off the second breaker and “paired” the first fan to the app, it took installing the Hunter app, connecting to and disconnecting from the fans WiFi (which again isn’t listed in the manual or labeled so was hard to workout what fan was connected to what WiFi. This is why switching off one of the two breakers was helpful.
