I hate all the cheapo fans nowadays... I don't want a remote to turn on my fan. Why??? I'm right next to the switch that I need to turn on anyway. Heck, they give you a way to mount your remote to a switch plate.. lame... Most homes have a separate switch for a fan. My house is built in the 90s and all the rooms have it. Simple wiring looks fantastic and is just what I needed. I might buy a few more in case they discontinue them... this isn't DC(thank goodness).

Low Profile Fan with a Wall Control
It took a while to find this fan, which is perfect for my living room. I was replacing an older fan that was the sole source of light in my main room. I added recessed lighting with a dimmer switch. I'd like to give a shout-out to the other reviewer who pointed out the lack of wall controls on modern fans. I didn't want a remote; I wanted a wall control. I don't even care that it ships with an old-school knob control. I found an excellent replacement for that, too (TGFS3-W-2PCS).
