    I ordered 3 of these at the same time and they all worked great. Except ONE of them had a factory finish that was glossier than the rest instead of the flat black. It wasn't a problem until it was installed next to the other fan and then I had to uninstall it and replace it with the last fan I had ordered. Two were side by side and the other one was on the other end of my porch where you wouldn't notice the difference in the finish. My installer wasn't happy that they had to remove a 40+ pound fan and reinstall it just because I didn't like the finish though.

    You would think that Hunter could AT LEAST include the fan pulls at the end of the chain pulls but they didn't.

    Hunter includes a new oil tube lubrication with it to oil the fan although since this is a (renewed) product, 1 fan out of my 3 fans used the whole product and the other 2 fans did not and it ran over onto the fan.

    I followed the instructions and installed the 4 blade pattern that said it was 80% more air flow that way. I'm going to change it to the 5 blade pattern and hope it improves the air flow because on high I can't tell any difference from my old Hunter ceiling fan that I removed.

    This review is going to take into account that this is a refurbished fan as there are a couple of things that I noticed that im sure only applies to the refurbished units.

    Pros:
    Heavy oil bath motor just like an original should be. This means it will run forever if you keep it oiled.
    4 or 5 blade mounting system means you can choose which style you want. I imagine this makes it easier to match the decor or match other originals in the house.
    Energy efficient motor which is nice when compared to the old school models that used double the power.
    PVC blades mean I can put one on my porch without the blades drooping over time.
    Just as much air movement as the old models. Blade pitch is still 15 degrees and according to Hunter the motor spins at the same RPM. It moves a LOT of air.
    QUIET. No motor hum just air movement.

    Cons:
    Install can be tough if you haven't planned it out. Look, these fan are heavy and can be a challenge to install alone. It's tough holding a 50 pound fan while climbing a ladder. Also, you need to make sure these are secured to the ceiling because if they fall they could easily kill someone. No attaching these to little mickey mouse ceiling boxes. Best way is to screw them into a ceiling joist with the included screws but you can attach them to a metal brace box that was designed for 70 or more pounds without issue.
    The speeds are not as even as they were on the old models. Medium is pretty low and low is really low. Not a huge problem but they might not match the speed of older models of original.
    Finish can have some minor blemishes on the fan and blades. This is a refurbished fan so that is to be expected. None of the blemishes were really noticeable, especially when the fan was on.
    Balance can be a PAIN on these newer models for some reason. I ordered three and had to balance them all out of the box. One of them needed the blade swapped to make it right. I installed 4 blades on these so I had extras.

    Overall, if you want a nice old school fan but don't want to pay the $500 that Hunter is charging for a new one then these are great. I ordered three and besides one that arrived cracked (replaced without issue) I have nothing but nice things to say about these. They move more air quieter than any other fan in the house and I would not hesitate to buy more of these in the future.

    Do note that you are supposed to add the ENTIRE bottle of oil to the fan. That said, you have to fill it very slowly otherwise it will overflow out of the hole at the top.
