The background color of this vase is not the milky white that appears in the picture. It is a gold color, which in my opinion makes it look cheap. Unfortunately, because this was shipped directly from the manufacturer, I paid shipping charges, and, therefore, in order to send it back I will have to pay shipping charges. In effect, I will be paying close to the amount that I paid for the item just to ship it back. I have opted to give it away instead. Lesson learned.
