This chandelier is gorgeous and looks amazing in our dining room. The metal isn't very thick and feels as though it could easily be bent, but as long as you aren't planning to swing from it that shouldn't be a problem ;) The seller did a great job of packaging it so it was fully protected. We had an electrician install it and he was able to adjust the cables so it could be mounted on a slanted ceiling. Be prepared for hanging each of the crystals that are mounted on the interior of this light, it took the electrician 45 minutes. The light emitted is a "cooler" color, which I prefer. I would highly suggest installing it with the dimmer switch.
