Great blend of modern and traditional. It's just the right size over our 4'x2.5' breakfast nook table. The black finish matches with our antique wrought iron furniture because it is true black instead of the more common bronze/brown black. The nickel finish is polished but not so shiny that it doesn't match our satin nickel hardware. Because the bulbs are bare, the lamp is quite bright. 40W bulbs would be sufficient. It looks romantic when dimmed on a dimmer.
On the downside, there were some nicks in the black finish that show silver underneath. It's not very visible. Also, some of the hangers for the crystals had to be stretched at the loops to allow the crystals to hang freely. The pendants were time-consuming to hang, since they have a circular loop (like a keychain) instead of a hook (as shown in the pictures). The chain to hang the lamp had to have links bent to attach to the ceiling and to the lamp.
