I'm not a professional light installer, just a DIY'er who knows basic wiring. This is a lovely light! It is elegant, timeless, and beautifully made.
It is *very* delicate (in a good way), and I was fairly impressed that it arrived in one piece. It was well packed. Be careful when you're unwrapping it because there are little discs that go in the bottom of the light that are easy to miss.
Some things I will point out-you can't use LED bulbs in this unless they are *exactly* the same size as the supplied halogen/xenon bulbs, which are tiny. I bought two boxes of LED's on Amazon that are going to have to go back because they are way too big. This is not the fixture's fault (of course), but be aware if you're thinking of going LED.
The supplied bulbs are 45 watt. They are not super crazy bright. If I can find an LED with higher lumens that will fit I'll switch to that, but the bulbs are close enough to the bottom lens that I won't go higher in wattage with halogens because I don't want to scorch the glass.
Take your time with the install. There are a lot of fragile pieces of glass. Make sure it's really secure and level on the wall before you start adding the glass pieces, because there isn't a lot holding them in.
I bought this light (and went WAY over budget, lol), and was no compensated in any way for this review or the video. It's just so hard to find nice lights that I thought it'd be good to give a bennie to a beautiful fixture.
The 36 second video represents about an hour of install time. Plus about another hour of taking it (carefully) out of the box and familiarizing myself with what would be required. The directions are kind of a joke.
