I absolutely love this stunning light. It is very classy, elegant, and bright. It does cast an irregular light pattern on the walls (if they are close enough) so that it makes a painted wall look like a faux finish, or kind of like wall paper. that was cool. the crystals are bright, sparkly, and shimmer. I did buy this for over a vanity, (total three pendants) and this pattern does not work well for putting on make up, because it casts irregular shadows on my face. So I go elsewhere to put on make up. I think this (in a set of 3 or 4) would look good over an island or bar, if crystals are your style. Be aware that this is oil rubbed bronze, but really appears more black. I need to qualify this positive review by saying that I ordered two additional lights (same brand, different retailer) and the quality was very different. the metal circles were all "off" and did not meet each other, leaving large holes and gaps in the pattern. this was not the case at all in the first one that I ordered. I will be returning the other two.
