I was pleased at the durable construction of this fixture. It has a nice finish and directs all the light downward. This certainly qualifies as a dark sky friendly lamp. Note that a standard A19 bulb is too large and will not fit. I used a ASELIHGT 6W Dimmable Edison Style G14(G45) E26 2700K LED Light Bulbs,Clear glass,Led Filament Bulbs, 60 Watt Incandescent Bulbs Replacement, G14(G45) E26 2700K Warm White Bulbs,LED Bulb Lamps,6 Pack which fits easily in the fixture. In addition, I installed a LED-friendly photo cell to automatically control the light.
