Installation of the light, replacing an existing light was very easy. It's a great value and a great look. It comes very well protected in a box.
We wanted one of these on either side of our door, so we ordered 2 of them. After finding a way of running a wire to the other light fixture, we had to figure out how to install a mounting plate. We ended up buying one online, but if we were to do it again, I would use a nice piece of wood, stained and varnished as a mounting plate, as what we got was a painted piece of heavy density foam.
