We had the ugliest light fixture in our mudroom. It has a 15 degree angled ceiling too. I couldn't resist getting this fixture to replace it. If you have ever mounted a light fixture before then this will be extremely typical and easy to do. I installed two 75 watt equivalent LED bulbs and it is very bright.

This light is a simple design that matched the other simple brushed nickel fixtures in our basement. I replaced a more ornate white and gold fixture. This fixture came with everything you need, including screws and even wire nuts (very small ones).
One feature I really like is the glass shade. It has a slot formed into the glass so you install and remove it by turning it about a quarter turn counter-clockwise and it drops out and you install by inserting and turning a quarter turn or so clockwise. That is much easier than a shade that has a threaded rod through it that has to be unscrewed without unscrewing the rod from the mounting bracket.
Two mounting posts with thumb nuts are what hold it up, and I found I had to press up with my finger near the screw to deflect the metal base and then tighten the thumb screw so when I let go there is a little bit of pressure holding it tight to the ceiling.
I don't like that there are individual lead wires for each bulb, but the one I took out was also like that so maybe they all are. Single lead wires would be better. I wonder if the 3-bulb version has 3 sets of leads! Also, I really like how ceiling fans are made to hang on the mounting bracket while you make electrical connections. This fixture is obviously much lighter than a ceiling fan but that doesn't reduce the number of hands that you need, which is one more than I have. A little cord or chain that you could hang the fixture from the bracket would be a big help to install it. Also there are two sets of holes in the bracket for the mounting posts and the instructions didn't say which set to use (it is the outer set) so I had to experiment.
Overall it's pretty straightforward and comes with everything you need in the box.

Glass Shade broke when removing

The base seems to have fixed screw holes instead of the more typical large slot and screw it into locked position design of many fixtures.

The metal base is insulated and wired for two bulbs. The holes to a-fix this the receptical box is 3.5 inches. I show it in the video because unlike many fixtures, there is no extra large screw hole with the option to twist the entire fixture and sort of lock it into a smaller area. In my experience with this specific type of base that is very thick, it can be difficult twisting because it takes a good sized screw length and if its tight, its hard to twist without cutting into the dry wall ceiling, especially if its popcorn.

There’s a combo of special double mail ending screws (no screw head) and some nuts to then attach, fix it in place. But you’ll have to feel your way through getting those screws through this base.

I have no idea what the glass shade looked like (prior to breaking). Maybe some type of swirled smokey white glass glaze?

The glass shade was included in a plastic open ended bag.

The bag was not tied(which would have helped significantly) and as I wrestled to get it out of the box and styrofoam (which was cracking and seemed to big for the box), the glass shade fell out of the bag, hit the floor and shattered.

I view the shattering shade as mostly my fault. (Say 90% my fault).

This is not the first fixture I have ordered, installed or unboxed.

But this could have been packaged better in styrofoam that fit better, or a box that arrived a little less squished making it very tight to remove everything. The box could have had some types of instruction about how to safely remove the fixture from the box.

Hopefully, my review will help others avoid my accidental mistake. Maybe it will help the vendor consider some minimal steps to protect packages just a bit more.

Specifically if the bag, light a small clear garbage bag, had been tied in a knot, this would not have slipped out and hit the floor. (Fell from a distance that was equivalent to the size of the box sitting on one end.)

If I had (even better) opened the box and tried to slide it out while on a floor or table, that too would have helped. But I couldn’t really see what I was removing until I started on it.

This seemed like an expensive fixture to me and it’s painful that its garbage now. I was looking to replace a different fixture that had a shade break as well. The thing is with these fixtures, you can’t just buy new shades to replace them, so you have to buy a whole new fixture and redo the wiring all over again.

The base of this light has 2 screw size holes for mounting. No wiggle room and the mounting screws aren't long enough to provide space to help line up the screws. The short screws and the pad of insulation made mounting this ceiling light incredibly frustrating. Since this was a free Vine item for review, I gave up after a while. For the price, mounting this light should have been easier.
