    This clamp worked perfectly for the purpose that it serves. The temperature got too low where we live and since the place is still under construction a water pipe cracked. We were without water for over a week. We bought this to fix the pipe and shipping was extremely fast! Unfortunately we found another crack along the pipe so we ended up replacing the whole thing with PEX. Even so, this clamp is everything it claims to be and is easy to put on.

    This clamp actually stops a pin-sized hole in a steel pipe, to prevent further leaking. A frozen pipe is often replaced by costly plumber labor, whereas you can fix your own pin-sized hole with this clamp. Larger split water pipes require plumbing experience or a plumber.
