    I had to replace an old gate valve on a 3/4 inch water line that wasn’t round and there wasn’t much coming out of the concrete floor. Trying to put a new valve on without using this tool was sure to leak. I used the tool as directed, pro pressed on a new valve and no leaks. The tool is also solidly made. It will last for your lifetime.

    I had a bent copper pipe that I needed to repair. Even cutting it was an issue because it was not perfectly round. Once I finally got it cut I wanted to attach a push fit fitting but I could see from the cut end of the pipe that it was not round and the new fitting would probably leak. I used this and it made the copper pipe perfectly round again and the fitting worked leak free. One issue is you should probably support the pipe somehow as you are hammering this in, so as not to damage the rest of the pipe and connections inside the wall. It does take some hard hammering to get this to work and it is a bit scary to hammer too hard on copper pipes inside your wall - so be careful as you use this.

    I cut a 2.5 inch section from a 3/4 inch vertical copper pipe to add a valve using sharkbite elbows, but the pipe below the cut was not perfectly round since it was near a bend. I was able to make the pipe round enough using the part of this tool that goes outside the pipe. I couldn't insert the part of the tool that goes inside the pipe since it would require at least a 3.5 inch space between the two pipe ends (and I only had 2.5 inches), but fortunately I didn't need it in this case.
