I truly like this product. In refurbishing the very small bathroom in our summer home I elected to install high bead board, chose cabinets with bead board panels, and built in the bathtub with bead board. Naturally this seat was a great option and I am very pleased with the purchase. It looks great, is sturdy and was well priced.

    Extremely easy to install. I have literally no tools and have trouble putting simple things together, and this was really easy. This seat looks amazing and is perfect for a cottage style home or any home that is decorated with a colonial feel. The wood feels sturdy and the paint is really nice. It's a really thick coat of paint and is very shiny and easy to keep clean. I love this seat and am so happy with the product. Only concern is that I wish the washers were made of something sturdier.

    Updated review: This set has held up well and no problems with the washers so far. It is really comfortable, does not stain easily, and looks so nice. If you buy it get ready to get compliments on your toilet seat. It's a kind of odd thing to hear but it's true, everyone loves this seat and asks me where it came from. The silver is still as shiny as when I purchased it and I literally have no complaints. The shipping was fast, it arrived in perfect condition, and I was elated to throw my old seat away!

    This would also look really cool in one of those tiny houses, a beach or river house, or a craftsman type home. You can always spray the fixtures if your bathroom fixtures are a different color as well. Easy, cheap update.

    Initially really liked this seat. Very heavy with nice looking hardware. It matched our bathroom well. The metal hinges started to tarnish and pit after about 6wks. Then about 9mos in the screws strippe out of the wood (or should I say partical board). This heavy nice looking seat did not last as long as the cheapest at walmart.

    The fasteners that screw the bolts under the toilet broke within 2 weeks because they are plastic, cannot find ones to fit because apparently it is not the common or universal size. so I have it rigged with metal nuts & rubber washers, seat slides & cant get it any tighter or the bowl is going to crack... a few extra fasteners would have been nice. Probably going to have to just get another seat because it slides when you move at all & the risk of falling off or pinching the skin is not worth it.. It is a very pretty seat & I like the style but useless if I cannot get the proper fitting replacement parts.

My only complaint is that the chrome bar along the back came with some rust on it (already and it was brand new and wrapped!) but I was able to use an SOS brillo pad to take it right off.
