    I am apparently heavy or I some how wiggle while seated but I've had 2 of those composite board POS seats snap under my ass and pinch the hell out of me. I decided on this because it had the bumpers in the middle for support and they were made out of a better material. Also they aren't nearly as cold on colder nights.

    I wanted a bamboo toilet seat to match the bamboo floor in my bathroom. I selected this one based on its appearance in the photos and the brass hinges to complement my oil rubbed bronze fixtures, including the toilet lever, just inches above the seat. It is impossible to locate dark bronze hinges on this seat, so brass was my second choice.

    However, although the seat looks great, operates smoothly and has a nice smooth finish, the hinges which do appear to be brass, have a brushed nickel finish.

    This is, I suppose, a minor complaint; however, it should be made clear in the advertising. It is the reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5.

    This unit is comfortable and I've had no issue with seat construction, but they completely missed the mark when designing the hardware for this unit. IT IS NOT CORROSION PROOF! Within less then a year one side broke from corrosion where bolts attach to toilet. They need to have an attachment point with a hole and a seperate bolt to fasten to toilet. This way if bolt ever does corrode you can simply replace bolt and not entire seat. (Actually I may look into replacement hardware for this. If this is available, it may be a slight consolation.) Still, we have a home built in 80's and 2 toilet seats with hardware design I mentioned and they are still going strong. So there is no excuse for a toilet seat to corrode at attachment point in less then a year. And even if I could get replacement hardware it won't make up for the pour design which allows for this seat to so easily become corroded and break at attachment point.
