    This seat lives up to the company name, Comfort Seat. We replaced some El Cheapo toilet seats from Home Depot that were slow closing but made your backside feel like it was in a torture device. So we ordered this Comfort Seats toilet based on the good reviews--it seems like most of the people who ordered this seat did so because the seat comes in more colors than Baskin Robbins Ice Cream.

    However, I can personally vouch that this seat is comfortable and I got it in plain vanilla (white). It is about twice the thickness of my old seat and my tush feels better already. We looked at getting the molded wood, slow closing seats but those always warp in a very short time. I am glad that I got this and my wife likes the fact that I can no longer wake her up by closing the toilet seat--yes it's nice and slow closing!

    However, my search for a toilet seat is not over because not only was this seat not comfortable for me when seated during toilet use, but it is not durable when seated on top of the lid. The top cover fails me every time I sit on it because it moves all over the place as the top is made very flimsy and thin.

    Yes, not everyone only sits on the toilet while relieving themselves. A lot of people also sit on top of the toilet while they are doing other things: such as brushing their teeth, conversing with their spouse while the other is in the shower, tying their shoes or putting their favorite 5"+ heels on and this seat is going to do it for us.

    So now even though I just purchased the seat, I will have to replace it for something more practical for my lifestyle.

    So if you never use your toilet for any of the above and if you don't mind and average-level of comfort then you will love this seat.

    If you need a seat for the reasons I mentioned above then you will probably be as unimpressed as I.

    This is a great seat. The finish and look are superb. The one reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because this seat is a little longer than a regular elongated seat. It's almost extra elongated, so it sticks a little further past where the toilet bowl stops. Be sure to check dimensions of the toilet before ordering.

    I bought 2 of these toilet seats ($81.68 Total). They arrived on 5/27/2022. The first one I installed became dangerously loose in late August. The second toilet seat (exact same brand) became dangerously loose right away. The problem is the plastic "Qwick Clean" locking tabs. The locking tab will disengage on one side and the toilet seat sifts either way from side to side. My wife is handicapped (wheelchair bound). Fortunately, I was with her on both occasions and able to prevent a possible serious injury. I do not recommend this toilet seat for anybody.

    Wow, I thought this might be flimsy. It's not! It's by far the least expensive easy-close toilet seat we found and we searched a lot. The reason is because they use a different slow-close mechanism than most of the others I,ve seen. The mechanism is so clever and simple that it does not break like the others. (Search for toilet slow-close seat parts. You'll see how much a replacement mechanism costs for standard slow close seats.)

    It is slightly smaller than the original wood seat, and slides to the sides of the water closet. Your legs will touch the edge of the ceramic water closet. The top lid cannot be sat on like the previous wood one. It dimples or caves downward. I am considering chucking this one and buying a different type. I expected the color not be be an identical match to the 30 year old water closet, and it doesn't. The pros are it does slowly close quietly.
