    After months of looking for replacement seats for my Eljer toilets with the square fronts I found these. Located other "Square Front" seats but all were plastic and seemed cheap and light weight. Originals were of composite wood. These were made the same as the originals and the hinges were designed to adjust to the toilet mounting holes. Installed both in less than 20 minutes using just a flat tip screwdriver. Hold down bolts were Plastic/Nylon but very solid, much like original. Best part was I got two for about the price of one of those "Cheapo" plastic seats.

    Product shipped and installed fine. Seating area smaller than original which took some getting used to. After 4 months MDF on the seat where screws are began to deteriorate. I believe this is due to water from cleaning. At six months, the seat mounting screws completely fell out of the seat and could not be replaced. This was because the MDF material of the seat completely failed an would not hold screws. Bad design and material usage in an area that will no doubt get wet. Seat is now useless and unrepairable.

    Be careful ordering this product. The product description lists the product as being 19.5" in length, the "additional product information" section also lists the product as being 18.5" overall. When we received the product, the outside of the box listed it as being 18.5". We had to send it back.

    This toilet seat fits perfectly on those weird squared-front Eljer toilets (we have three of 'em!). The seat material is wood composite I guess, much more sturdy feeling than those cheapo plastic seats. Best part is that this company makes them available at a much better price than others (in the 20s as opposed to the 40s and up).

    On discovering that I needed a "square" front toilet seat, I also discovered that I would have to order from the internet, since Lowes or Home Depot doesn't carry them in their stores. The seat is flat and the hole in the seat is much smaller than the original seat, or my other toilet seats. The seat could be a little contoured, like other toilet seats and also the actual hole in the seat could be a little larger. Kinda reminds me of some of the "outhouse seats" in some of the older Boy Scout camps. Would not recommend.
