    Made with mixed woods, NOT suitable for staining.

    I bought the unfinished vanity to stain. We were going to keep it light wood with just a sealer on it, keep it natural. While the description says "stain ready", it actually is built with a mix of different woods -- maple, poplar -- and all woods stain differently. We tested a light/natural stain and the frame came out completely different than the face, the poplar has a greenish undertone and the maple a nice warm tone. I was so disappointed but it was too late in our project to return it and look for something else, so we stained it a dark tone to cover up the different tones/variations. It looks nice but not at all close to the light/natural wood look I was going for. We are so disappointed. We do not recommend buying this vanity for stain. Paint maybe, but terrible for stain. Less
