Ideal for a DIY update, this drop-in rough-in makes it easy to install a freestanding tub. The kit installs above your subfloor, but underneath your cement floor or tile, so you do not need access below the fixture.     For a standalone soaking tub, this product is key. My plumber plumbed it in for me and I was able to simply use the copper pipe from the kit that we attached to the base of the tub directly into it and the plumbing works great.

    This was part of a soaker tub we installed. Due to great reviews we decided to purchase this drain. Unfortunately after the drain was installed, we were not able to remove the test cap even after following directions and watching several videos on how to remove by "gently twisting and removing" with pliers. There was no mention of any difficulties in any reviews either. Took over 30 minutes and it still broke off at lift tag. Very frustrating.
