These lights really do give the room a modem aesthetic! I did opt to directly wire these lights which made the install a bit more difficult because I had to drill through two studs and fishing wires through walls is never fun. That said, once the wires were fished, it was straight forward to wire up the light. I also would recommend using butterfly dry wall anchors to secure the light more firmly to the wall. This will help overcome the stiffness of the articulating arms without feeling like the fixture will rip off the wall.
All in all, extremely pleased with these lights. If you're not DIY savvy, I think it's still worth to have a professional install them.
