Used it to replace two old & outdated "bronze" fixtures on our covered patio.
The style is fantastic & it really matched our stucco walls perfectly. The wife loves them, which is obviously of key importance.
The amount of light they let out is perfect for our application -- much more muted & elegant than the exposed bulb from the previous fixture. We're using these at opposite ends of a large (60x15ft) covered patio, though we do have a overhead ceiling fans with lights on dimmers, too. These put out a decent amount of illumination though they aren't super bright -- they are more than ample for a small area and they'd also be great as a accent/mood/environment type light type effect as well which is more of what we use them for.
Installation was pretty straight-forward and didn't present any major hurdles even with stucco though we were replacing smaller existing fixtures so mounting them was a bit easier and they easily covered all of the mounting & wiring due to their larger size.
My only concern with buying these was that several reviewers reported receiving them broken, and since they are ceramic, I could see how that could easily happen. Ours however arrived well-packaged and completely intact, so zero complaints there.
Would buy again just based on their "look" -- in fact, I'm actively trying to find more places that I might be able to put them outside just because we like their look & elegance so much!
