This fixture looks like a million dollars - it's sleek, gorgeous and lights up the area most beautifully!!! As another reviewer noted, installation can be a little tricky and it really helps to have a second set of hands. We put this in a hallway that has a relative low ceiling, so a low profile flush mount light was essential. This would easily work in contemporary or traditional decor. The dome part is glass (yeah!!!), not that icky plastic, but despite the composition, the light fixture is not heavy - it's not flimsy either.
