    It is a good quality and attractive light for the price. I think the negative reviews are unwarranted. It can be fussy to install by one person but so are other lights of similar design. I did it in 20 minutes. Also, it's true the lens dims the light more than expected but just put higher wattage bulbs in. In the age of LED, the additional electrical demand of 2 or 3 watts is miniscule.

    Bought 2 of these, and then a third, one for each bathroom in the house. Looks really good, the chrome finish matches my other chrome bath accessories. Looks more expensive than it is. Fits two regular medium base bulbs. Use a brighter bulb, since the glass cover is frosted.

    It is not the easiest light fixture to install. If you're handy you can do it. 1st, the suppled cross bar works on modern ceiling boxes that have two screw holes on each side of the ceiling box. If you are using an "old" box like I have in this older house which does not have two screw holes on each side then you have to go to the hardware store (hopefully yours isn't 35 miles away) and get a scissor cross bar where one plate attaches to the ceiling box and the other mounts the fixture. 2nd, you have to fish the mount screws through the insulation which is fussy and messes it up a bit. 3rd, tie off the fixture with string while you fiddle with the connections. 4th, the fragile glass lens is not secured to the ring collar that holds it in place. You must be very careful not to mishandle the assembly while attaching the ring collar to the base. 5th, It sure would be nice if they used stainless screws for the ring collar. In a damp location which this is rated for the screws will turn to "rust-dust" fairly quickly. A swing down arrangement would be far superior for the likelihood of dropping pieces when changing out those marvelous lightbulbs from China that are rated for a zillion hours but only last a few weeks. So yes, it's a pretty fixture, but the install was a pain and I'm not looking forward to bulb changeouts.

    These look WONDERFUL in our bathrooms. Matches all of the other chrome pieces beautifully. I did not install so I cannot speak to that, but the electrician had it done in less than 10 minutes so I imagine thats not too difficult. A great completion to our bathroom renovation.

    The only issue we heard from out contractor was that because the glass is so big it can be difficult to hold it steady while securing the screws. But with halogen bulbs in it we won't have to worry about that for a while.
