    Bought this light to install in our laundry room which is also the entrance off our garage. The currect light was connected to an occupancy sensor switch so that the light comes on when some one enters the room, and that set up worked fine for this light too.

    The light was packed nicely, I felt like the box it was in could take a bit of abuse (not that it did) and he light would have been fine. I saw this because I have orderer other lighting that has shown up broken. THe light was well made and solid. The globe portion of this light was real glass, not plastic. This is both good and bad (see comments later). The light takes two light buls allowing for plenty of light.

    Installation was a bit of a hassle alone. This is true of any ceiling mounted light. You have to get the light close enought to the box to connect the wiring yet someone has to hold the light there while another person does the wiring. Here is the trick that I used... this light came with a bracket that mounts to the electrical box, then the light attaches to that using the same screws that are screwd into the electrical box. I got some 20 lbs fishing line and tied it around the two screws, and tied the other ends around about 6 inch wood dowels. I then threaded the dowels through the screw holes on the actual light fixture. This allowed me to suspend the light while wiring and then to guide the mounting screws through the holes when ready to mount. I then just cut the fishing line away. Warning, if you use this method make sure the fishing line is strong enought to support the weight of your light.

    My sole citicism of this light is the glass globe portion. I like that it is glass, but it has a white finish to diffuse the light that scratches very easily. Perhaps a rubber gasket on the inside of the fixture to protect it from the 3 screws used to hold the globe in place.

    Looks great and works great for the price. A little difficult to install, takes some time. We used GE Reveal bulbs to get a nice "white" light. Some other bulbs give off more of an amber look against the cover.
