    The lamp is gorgeous but somewhat overwhelming. I bought two, imagining one over each bathroom sink. Our bathroom isn't exactly enormous but it's always been a bit dark so I was looking for lots of light. The contractor installed a dimmer switch on these and with the light turned low, it makes a rosy warm environment, with the option of turning on the brights for makeup and checking color matches, etc. There was a small glitch with installation as neither my husband nor the contractor could figure out how to install the glass without cutting into the electric wire. They did figure it out. I wrote (by mistake) to a supplier who hadn't sold me the Minka Lavery lights and then to the supplier who did. Both responded immediately with detailed instructions and contact information. I call that excellent customer service. In a small room, one of these lights would be sufficient, and be sure to leave plenty of wall space around them. If you like warm light, you'll love these.

    We selected this fixture for the design & appearance which fit well in a 1/2 bath where it is now installed. The design & appearance EXACTLY matched with the look we wanted for the area.

    The assembly of the product after shipment was a little tricky. Be very careful not to over tighten any of the electrical fittings - we didn't - be just be careful. Getting the light installed on the wall is definitely a two person operation - one to hold the fixture in position, the other to add the screws and tighten them.

The nut is obvious, but whether the skirt went under the globe or inside it wasn't. I assembled the first globe incorrectly and had to remove the lamp socket and clip wires to undo the whole thing, then reattach the wires and the socket to be able to put it together correctly - with the skirt inside the globe and upside down to act as a spacer. A diagram would have helped.

    That was the most beautiful, gorgeous light fixture I ever set my eyes on! I was so disappointed that I had to return it, because the wiring will only support a fixture with a rectangle base. Oh, my gosh I begged the electrician to try to fit it on anyway, but he was not having it, because of the tile work involved. Alas, my beauty had to go bye bye.

    I installed this light over a bath vanity with the globes facing down. The fixture is well made and heavier than most wall lights.
    I had to drill an additional mounting screw on the top plate of the fixture mounting plate. This prevented the fixture from tilting forward because of the additional weight.
    I would advise the manufacturer to provide (4) mounting screw points instead of (2) on the round mounting back plate of the fixture.

They include a tiny Allen wrench to screw them in but because of angle of screw and limited space between wall and fixture, it took me almost half an hour to get the damn thing on.
