Looks SO MUCH better when you see it installed. Mine is against a dark magenta wall. It was a good choice.
The reason for not getting 5 stars are these.
1. It was bent during shipping, with no damage to the box. Or maybe it was damaged before shipping. The left lamp support was bent in and twisted a bit. Was able to bend it back, but the metal is of the type that really only bends once, then breaks. If I had had to bend it more, I believe it would have snapped.
2. The "eye" shaped lenses at the bottom of the 3 lamps is not asymmetrical. Install it wrong like I did and the front curved glass will not go in. Took me awhile to figure that one out. It's not indicated in the single sheet instructions.
3. The bracket that screws to the electrical box did not have the right number and/or type of slots to allow me to get 2 screws in. I kind of remember these being VERY STANDARDIZED. So one is going to have to do. Made it as tight as I felt comfortable without stripping it.
4. The "eye" lenses, and the base-to-wall-mount screws are very small allen screws. Tough for the lenses, incredibly tough for the wall mount. Obviously the person that designed this never tried installing it. I'm by myself so I really needed 3 hands. At first I thought that just getting in the top 2 wall mount screws would do, but then I relented and took another 15 minutes to get the 2 bottom ones in. There should have been a hook at the top and a single screw on the bottom. LIKE EVERY OTHER WALL LAMP EVER MADE.
But it is very beautiful. And very bright. Might have to put in a dimmer. Going to live with it for awhile and see how it goes.
