Here's how to fix the design flaw other reviews have mentioned - the crooked frosted glass.
This light is pretty, but the glass frosted bottom sits crooked. I think they added "Spacer (V)" in an attempt to fix this flaw after the fact, but I couldn't see how it would help at all.
The problem is that the receiver (the hole) that you screw threaded rod R into is not vertical. To fix this, right after you screw rod R into its receiver about half an inch, grab the housing for the receiver, and use R as a lever to force the receiver vertical. You'll feel some metal grind around the receiver when it finally moves. Stick glass Y on rod R and screw the finial Z on all the way. If the glass isn't vertical, take them off again and do some more violent pushing on R (while holding the housing right around the receiver) until the glass will sit flat.
Four stars for a difficult-to-see installation manual and a flawed rod design.
