Bulbs required for this fixture are the very narrow end traditional chandelier style, but you can use regular or LED. The photos show only two bulbs, one clear and one frosted, both 40 watt. It’s all I had in the house and I didn’t want to wait! I definitely recommend the clear bulbs as they disappear.
This comes with at least 2 feet of silver chain and a silver faceplate. We hung ours more of a flush mount style to highlight a Venetian Plaster ceiling. It’s pictured over a king sized bed in a modest sized master bedroom. If you have a large space, I would suggest looking for a larger fixture. This is perfect for a smaller to moderate sized master, average sized guest or other bedroom, a 6-seater dining table or entrance way. Would be stunning in any bathroom!
Assembly is required but is the least complicated of any of the 5 similar fixtures I’ve put together this past year (flipped a house). The silver chrome base is fully assembled and the crystal strands are in bags. Two small bags are easy to overlook in the packaging but every piece was included and very carefully packed. It all arrived in perfect condition!
One nice thing is that the crystals are at least pre-strung, so all you have to do is find the little hook and place it into the hole. Instructions for crystals are not given but the basic light fixture installation directions are included.
To hang the crystals, I opened each bag then laid the strands next to each other to compare length. Start with the individual hooks at both top and bottom, then the longest strand around the widest pet of the fixture, following suit until each strand is hung. Next, prepare to re-hook at least 1/4 of the crystals after the fixture is installed, but at that point you will be familiar with the process and it will be much easier to fix them. A light wipe of a paper towel dampened with Windex will be well worth your effort as the finishing touch after installation. Now enjoy your beautiful crystal light! Get ready for lots of compliments!
We looked for months before taking a chance on this and I’m so glad we did! Similar pieces in stores were easily 2x the cost of this. We love it!
