Just got and installed these and really like the style and indirect light these provide. I put small low-intensity warm LED bulbs in them (see: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BXWL37TY). The light they give is soft and warm and doesn't oversaturate the doorway area with harsh light, the bulbs are small and don't stick out below the shade, so the light doesn't hit you directly in the eye, and I just love the look.
These are steel, and will someday rust, but hey, I have black spray paint. In the meantime, very happy with these, especially for the price.
