I absolutely love this light! I have a medium size kitchen island (39" x 58" and wanted one large statement light above it. I was looking at longer kitchen island lights but liked the drama of one large light. Great that there is no glass to clean. Love the sharp clean lines. I found a similar light at my local store but it hung by a chain. I prefer the clean lines of the pole in how this light hangs. More modern and clean looking. Very nice finish and refined look and a great value for the price. I only wish it came in a darker oil rubbed bronze to match my door hardware but this black is fine.
I have it on a dimmer and LOVE the light it puts out. I put the dimmest 2200k LED candelabra bulbs in it that gives a warm yellowish glow that looks most like candle light. I originally bought a 2700k LED candelabra bulbs but found them to be too white. The 2200k gives a nice amber glow without being too yellow, like some Edison bulbs. I also like that those bulbs are slightly frosted so you can't see inside the bulb.

I had some difficulty with installing it as the collar that holds the lamp stem to the outlet cover was not very deep. Could be improved for sure by having a bit more thread on that final collar so you can get final adjustments but I got it to work. (I'm pretty handy). It does come with different length bars so you can hang to different lengths. You could cut those down if you needed a specific length. But they gave you two different lengths so I liked that it gave you options for height. I found the perfect length with just one of the shorter bars. I believe you could also install on a slanted ceiling with the pivot hardware that came with the item but I'm not sure as I didn't use it.
Don't hesitate on this one. It's very nice quality and came shipped well.
