This was purchased to replace a identical one on a fan. The dealer that sold it originally wanted twice as much as this one cost. The original one lasted 4 years. Don't know why but the light's remote receiver quite working.
The transmitter can be mounted in the wall switch box or can be hand held. The picture shows two remotes but its really one remote used two different ways. The receiver that goes on the fan should fit most fans as it is small enough to fit above the fan under the canopy.
