I wanted a set of wall sconces for the entryway to my study. What I love about these is the center mesh cylinder is removable and allows you to have just the clear glass there as well. I love the mesh cylinder as it allows the glass to be defused and subtle. Sure they are a bit pricey, but I did so much research to find something that I would have to look at daily, it was worth getting exactly what I wanted. The wall mount is 1/16 metal and solid. I am able to not only mount the plate to the wall, but also the electrical box I installed as well. The glass cylinders are flawless and the edges are nicely rolled at both ends. It’s a super dark bronze, with a hint of light streaking. From about 3-4 feet the look almost black in color which is perfect as they blend very well. I didn’t want to essentially light up the hallway, but to provide a visual relaxing ambiance when entering the front door to the home or entering the study. Even at night, I am able to see down the hallway and enjoy the flickering bulbs that were installed on them. I was able to get power from outlets just below each sconce, I removed the outlet, and added a outlet/switch allowing me to have a live outlet all the time and use the switch to control the light anytime I wanted. I thought about WiFi circuits as well, but there are some new WiFi bulbs on the market I’m going to test and evaluate as well
Amazon had the lowest price on the entire internet and they arrived super quick. I am totally happy and plan to get the matching chandelier for the same large entrance hallway these sconces are in.
